It's uncomfortable. It's embarrassing. It draws attention to how vulnerable we are as parents and as communities.
But just imagine the impact we could have if we all talked openly about this problem. When we talk about the issue of child abuse and take steps to keep children safe, we can create responsible, proactive communities where there is no place for perpetrators to have access to abuse children.

Body Safety for Children
A short conversation with children accompanied by their parents to help them enforce boundaries, develop their sense of bodily autonomy, and review their body safety rules that will protect them from abusers and abusive behavior.
Format: Interactive discussion
Target Population: Children 3-5 years old accompanied by an adult.

Bystanders Protecting Children from Boundary Violations
Prepares the learner to make interventions that reinforce boundaries and protects children.

Parent Café
Being a great parent is part normal and part learned. Parent Café is a structured, small group conversation that promotes peer to peer learning and self-reflection about family protective factors that help to keep children safe and families strong.
Participants have meaningful guided conversations about what matters most in our families.
Intended Audience: Parents
Format: Small group guided discussion.
Length: 1 hour and 30 minutes approximately.
Recognizing & Responding to Child Abuse and Neglect
Prepares the learner to recognize other forms of child abuse and neglect, and teach them how to respond as a mandated reporter.

The curriculum teaches students how to recognize danger and how to use their personal power to say “no,” get help, and set boundaries. Middle school students learn about the warning signs of unsafe situations and what actions they can take to reduce risks, stay safe, and access help.
