Child Safety Matters & Teen Safety Matters
These are comprehensive, evidence-based curriculums for students in grades K-12. The program educates and empowers children, teens and all relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, all types of abuse, and digital abuse dangers.
Intended Audience: Schools, Youth Serving Organizations
The Program Includes,
Direct Facilitation
It is presented by a CARE House facilitator directly to students in two comprehensive lessons ranging from 35-55 minutes (or in four shorter lessons). Facilitators present turnkey scripts along with engaging, interactive PowerPoints including lecture, group discussion, skills-practice activities, videos, and games.
Staff Training
A half-day “Train the Trainer” opportunity for schools or organization who would like to have internal staff trained to facilitate Child Safety Matters. Includes mandated reporter training.
Safety Fair Family Event
A community-based, interactive event for children, families, educators, and community members. CARE House will assist in directing and facilitating this event.
