PROGRAMS

We currently offer the following programs

Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

In 2024, 107 children in Oakland County foster care benefitted from CASA services. Click here for more information on how to become a CASA.

Canine Advocates

CARE House of Oakland County has 33 Canine Advocate Dogs placed at courthouses, prosecutor’s offices, and CACs throughout MI and OH.

Intervention and Treatment

When there are reports of suspected child abuse, we provide services to those children and their families in partnership with law enforcement, child protective services and prosecutors.

Nurturing Oakland Parents

This 15-week program brings parents and kids together to help bridge gaps in communication and build empathy.

Prevention Training

Child abuse is so widespread, with 1 in 10 children being sexually abused before they turn 18, it’s likely someone you know will be affected by it. We offer a variety of trainings to help arm the community with knowledge.

Healthy Families Oakland

Our home-visiting program focuses on identifying and reaching goals to promote the five protective factors, building competence and confidence in parenting, and improving family functioning.
