Working Together to Keep Kids Safe
On August 15, CARE House partnered with Art Connections LLC to host "Working Together to Keep Kids Safe," a child-focused body safety workshop at The Suzanne Haskew Arts Center in Milford. Children, parents, caregivers, and community members came together to learn about ways to keep kids safe from abuse. We had a great time learning, snacking, and making art!
Why is it so important for us to engage with and educate our community through these no-cost workshops?
"When a community sees that schools are training staff, educating children, and engaging in prevention practices, it sends a clear message to potential abusers: This is not a community where abuse will thrive." Billie Ragland, Director of Community Education
