Nurturing Oakland Parents
CARE House of Oakland County offers free Parenting classes through its Prevention Department.
The Nurturing Parenting Program is for any family who wants to get along better and communicate more effectively. Both parents and children can attend together. Dinner is provided each week! The 15-week program offers instruction to parents and their children on various topics, including but not limited to, the following:
Developing Family Morals and Values
Developing Family Rules
Improving Children’s Self Worth
Developing Empathy in children
Helping Children to Handle Their Stress
Helping Children to Handle Their Behavior
If you have school-aged children between the ages of 5-12 years old, this program may be for you!
