At CARE House of Oakland County, we know knowledge is power. When we have conversations about child abuse and abuse prevention with our kids, friends, colleagues, and family members, we create communities in which everyone has the tools necessary to help prevent abuse. When we talk about it, we help strengthen protective factors in our families and communities, which helps to prevent child abuse. When we are open and honest about child abuse, we put shame to rest and bring truth to light.
